Cross-country drive on 2 gallons of gas

NARRABUNDAH, Australia, March 15 (UPI) -- An elderly woman in Australia took her handbag back from a thief who had driven into a pillar after snatching it from her.
Police said the woman grabbed her bag from the passenger seat as the thief tried to restart his car after ramming it into a pillar, The Sydney Daily Telegraph reported Sunday.
An elderly man who was with the woman suffered minor injuries from trying to hold open the car door.
The incident occurred in the town of Narrabundah. Police were searching for the suspect.
