Dr. Jorn Ege, a plastic surgeon who specializes in penile operations, was convicted Friday of tax fraud in Copenhagen city court, the Copenhagen Post reported Friday. Advertisement In addition to the jail sentence, Ege was also ordered to pay a $780,000 fine. Ege fled the country in 2005 after the Eastern High Court determined that he should be taken into custody for allegedly concealing $2.1 million worth of assets. He turned himself in to Danish authorities in December. The doctor's girlfriend had also been charged in the case but she was later cleared. Ege became known in Denmark as "The Penis Doctor" after a number of customers filed official complaints about penile and liposuction procedures he performed.
