Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe CHICAGO, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Police in Chicago said they have arrested a 14-year-old boy who allegedly impersonated an officer by reporting for duty. Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the boy, whose name was not released, allegedly showed up at the Grand Crossing (3rd) District station at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and identified himself as an officer from another district assigned to the station for the day, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday. Advertisement Bond said the boy was partnered with another police officer for about five hours and a police source said the teenager signed out a police radio and a ticket book at the station. The source said the boy went on traffic stops with the officer he was partnered with before his ruse was uncovered. The spokeswoman said the boy "did not write tickets" and said there was "no information to indicate that he (was) ever behind the wheel." The boy was charged as a juvenile with impersonating an officer. He was due back in court Monday.
