Craig Compeau unveiled the 8 1/2-foot-tall sculpture Monday in Fairbanks as an invitation to the global warming education leader to visit the town, the Anchorage Daily News reported Tuesday. Advertisement Compeau, who described himself as a "moderate" critic of global warming theories, said he is hoping the "An Inconvenient Truth" star will travel to Fairbanks to discuss his views on climate change. The businessman said the sculpture will be taken down in March if it has not yet melted.
