About a dozen members of the Sanam Luang Democracy Group, an apparent splinter group of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship, roasted chilis and salt outside of the council's headquarters Friday, MCOT.net reported Friday. Advertisement The protesters said they chose to perform the cursing ritual instead of throwing eggs at Abhisit because they feared the action could drive up food prices. The prime minister was surrounded by security guards when he entered and exited the building, MCOT said.
