SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Police said a suspicious package that caused a lock-down at a San Antonio Wal-Mart turned out to be a wrapped deer carcass.

Investigators said police responded to a call about a suspicious package at the store at about 11:30 p.m. Monday. Employees and customers were kept inside the store until bomb squad technicians examining the package determined at about 2 a.m. Tuesday that it was a deer carcass and posed no danger, KSAT, San Antonio, reported Tuesday.

Police said the people inside the store were allowed to leave and company officials said the location has resumed business at its usual hours.
