Nude Blagojevich painting joins Palin's

CHICAGO, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- A Chicago painter is continuing his "nude governor" series, following a naked portrait of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin with one of her besieged Illinois colleague.

Bruce Elliott's nude imagining of Palin this year when she was the Republican U.S. vice presidential nominee stirred considerable controversy from its perch at the Old Town Ale House on Chicago's North Side. Now it's being joined by a naked Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.

In the new painting, Elliott imagines the governor, who is facing allegations he tried to sell President-elect Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat for political and financial favors, being checked into a jail with his orange jail jumpsuit down around his knees, the Tribune said. A prison guard is seen putting on a rubber glove and the painting is entitled, "The Cavity Search."

"Hopefully, someone is going to find this irreverent," Elliott said.
