Thursday, November 12
ASHDOD, Israel, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Israeli police say a man in his 20s was arrested in Ashdod for running and swimming naked after he lost a bet.
The bet on a friendly game of cards called for the loser to run naked to the sea, swim and run home, the man told the police.
"I ask you to allow me to return to my friends naked," said the man, who was refused his request, covered with a sheet and arrested on charges of public nudity, Ynetnews.com reported Wednesday.
Police were tipped to the man by several shocked residents who saw him running down their streets and through city parks, Ynetnews reported.
