ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- A Minnesota woman says she didn't know why a police officer was honking at her at a McDonald's drive-through window until he arrested her for drunken driving.
Erica Ballard, 26, St. Paul figured it had something to do with her revoked driver's license, but since she was stuck in the line she might as well complete her burger run.
"I thought they were fixing to mess with me," Ballard told the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer-Press from the Ramsey County Jail.
The newspaper said Tuesday that Ballard only managed to put away a few fries before the officers in the car behind her placed her under arrest.
Ballard took issue with police claims that she had run a red light after leaving the parking lot of a nearby White Castle and ignored their flashing lights and sirens.
"I don't even eat White Castle," she said
