
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Sarah Palin outranked U.S. President-elect Barack Obama among the most popular year-end Internet searches on Google.
Google announced the rankings Wednesday in its 2008 year-end Zeitgeist -- meaning "the spirit of the times."
The top rankings, resulting from billions of search queries worldwide, showed Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee and governor of Alaska, on top. Next on the list were: Beijing 2008, Facebook login, Tuenti, which is a social networking program in Spain; Heath Ledger, the late actor; Obama, Nasza Klasa, which is a social networking program in Poland; Wer Kennt Wen, which is a social networking site in Germany; Euro 2008 and the Jonas Brothers, the popular boy band based in the United States, Google said.
