LONDON, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- A London appeals court has upheld the conviction of a lawyer who was found guilty of biting a police officer and stripping naked after she was pulled over.

Elizabeth Joseph, 56, was convicted in February of obstructing a constable and assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty after she was pulled over while driving her Hyundai outside of a railway station.

She went into a fit of rage when officers began searching her car and police quoted her as saying: "What? Do you think I'm a terrorist?" They said she then bit Constable Vincent Geaves' right hand, the appeals court was told.

Authorities said Joseph continued ranting and shed her clothing after she was taken into custody.

She was sentenced to 60 hours of labor and ordered to pay $12,800 court costs, The Daily Mail reported Friday.
