LONDON, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- A British man says he used a projector to offer London residents a 10-foot-high version of a credit card they could use for $15,000 worth of shopping.

Bertrand Bodson, the operator of the Web site Bragster.com, said in addition to projecting a large image of his Mastercard on the Bank of England, he offered passers-by details on how best to use the card for up to $15,000 in purchases, the Daily Mail reported Thursday.

"With all the doom and gloom, we wanted to bring a little Christmas cheer," Bodson said.

"Everyone is welcome to spend the money how they want."

Bodson said at least one individual followed the directions and went to a Web site he had created to aid in telephone and online purchases.

That unidentified individual spent $11,100 at Apple using the information provided by Bodson and his group, the Mail said.

Police eventually arrived at the projection scene and forced Bodson's group to cease with the public credit offer.
