GREELEY, Colo., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- A former Roman Catholic priest who was allegedly found jogging naked in Frederick, Colo., has been ordered to register as a sex offender.

In passing sentence for Robert Whipkey, Weld County Judge Timothy Kerns called the incident "a manifestation of the substantial risk" posed to the community without treatment, The Longmont (Colo.) Times-Call reported.

State law requires Whipkey, 55, to register for 10 years. The judge also sentenced Whipkey to five years' probation and 100 hours of community service.

Whipkey was convicted in June of misdemeanor indecent exposure, the Times-Call said.
