MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- A woman who served as a surrogate to deliver her own triplet grandchildren in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, says the babies may be home for Thanksgiving.

Jacilyn Dalenberg, 56, who gave birth to the triplets Oct. 11 as a surrogate for her daughter, Kimberly Coseno, said newborn Elizabeth Jacilyn may be discharged from the hospital as early as this weekend while her sisters, Carmina Ann and Gabriella Claire, could be home in Ashland, Ohio, in time for Thanksgiving, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reported Wednesday.

Coseno was unable to carry her own children due to a hysterectomy procedure that left her with one healthy ovary.

Dalenberg, who gave birth to the children about nine days early, is thought to be one of the oldest surrogate mothers in the world to carry triplets.

"I always wanted to be pregnant again," Dalenberg said of her decision to carry her daughter's children. She said she worked full time as a medical records employee until only two days before she gave birth.
