CHICAGO, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- A Chicago-area political blogger says he wasn't able to remain online Election Night since he has a 7:30 bedtime, which is typical for a 7-year-old.
Stas Gunkle took on topics such as alternative energy and Sarah Palin in his postings, which leaned toward Barack Obama during the campaign, the Chicago Sun-Times said Tuesday.
The second-grade pundit told the newspaper that his class at Beaubien Elementary School in Edison Park wasn't a hotbed of election fever despite his dutiful efforts, which included posting a letter he received from the candidate himself.
"It was not, like, really hot," Stas said. "We talked about it, and I read some Scholastic magazines."
Stas's political proclivity could be genetic. His folks are both academics who have their own blogs and helped him start planetstas.blogspot.com when he was in kindergarten.
