Authorities said the two middle-school students, surnamed Liu and Ye, took the centipedes April 29 from a businessman surnamed Guo, but prosecutors decided to drop the charges due to the young ages of the suspects and because the crime was minor, Shanghai Daily reported Monday. Advertisement A third suspect, surnamed Yang, allegedly sold the centipedes for $351 but did not share any of the money with Liu and Ye. Authorities did not say whether Yang was charged in the theft.
