Man finds 1938 Superman comic in wall of house

HIDALGO, Texas, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Authorities said a woman was fined for attempting to smuggle diaper-wrapped pork sausage across the Mexican border into Hidalgo, Texas.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the woman initially told officers Friday at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge that the diapers spotted in her car had been soiled by her baby, but a closer inspection found them to fountain nearly five and a half pounds of chorizo, The (McAllen, Texas) Monitor reported Tuesday.
"You would be surprised what people carry in their vehicles," said Felix Garza, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman.
Officers said the woman was fined $300 and released. The chorizo was confiscated.
