IPSWICH, Australia, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- An Australian man was hit on the head with a rolling pin after poking his fingers into several bakery pies while intoxicated, police say.
Police said Craig Moyle, 34, entered a bakery in the city of Ipswich Oct. 8 after a night of drinking and began poking pies as employees attempted to kick him out, the Brisbane Courier and Mail said in its Thursday edition.
The incident occurred as the bakers were preparing items for the next day of business and left the store's door open despite the site being closed for business.
Moyle has pleaded guilty to a charge of willful damage in Ipswich Magistrate's Court in relation to the drunken event.
Moyle told acting Magistrate Brad Skuse the criminal charge against him helped him remember exactly what occurred during his early morning bakery visit.
"Actually, this is the first time I knew what happened since I got the cut on my head," he said. "I've been back there and apologized."
The Courier and Mail said Moyle received a $300 fine and must now pay $30 in pie restitution.
