Appearing from the Johnson County Jail via video, Patel, 23, asked Judge Stephen Gerard if her fiance could drop the charges because they plan to marry in two weeks, the Press Citizen reported.

Gerard told Patel to take the matter up with her lawyer and to stay away from the fiance, whose name was not released.

Police reports allege Rucha ran her car over her fiance's foot and when he tried to take away her keys, she allegedly bit him on the hand.
