DANVERS, Mass., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- The children of an 80-year-old Massachusetts woman injured in a motorcycle accident say they expect their mom to be back on her bike before long.
Margaret Blais, 80, of Danvers lost control of her three-wheel motorcycle Oct. 7 and suffered multiple injuries to her right arm, broke her left leg and incurred severe facial lacerations in the single-vehicle crash, The Boston Globe reported Tuesday.
Some of Blais's nine children said they expect their mother, who was listed in fair condition Tuesday to climb back on her motorcycle after her release from Brigham and Women's Hospital.
"She's a tough old girl," her youngest son, Larry Blais, said after the crash.
"Some people think I'm crazy for letting my 80-year-old mother ride," he
said. "But you know something? It made her feel 60 again."
