NEW YORK, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- A 48-year-old man who drove a fake rocket with the words "Viva Viagra" on it through New York alleges tunnel officials didn't bother to check his vehicle.

Arye Sachs, who is being sued for copyright infringement for his reference to the erectile dysfunction drug, alleged officials at the Lincoln Tunnel never once investigated the fake missile his vehicle was carrying, the New York Post said Wednesday.

"They checked license and registration but not the missile," he told federal Judge William Pauley III on Tuesday.

Police in the Queens Midtown Tunnel only laughed when Sachs drove his fake rocket by them on Sept. 8 as part of his unusual journey through New York, the defendant alleges.

The Post said tunnel officials haven't confirmed Sachs' claims regarding the alleged incidents, which Sachs told the judge were merely part of his ongoing attempts to have "fun" in life.

"If it's legal and it's enjoyable, I want to do it," Sachs said. "Once in a while you want to have fun and that's what it's all about: fun."
