LONDON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Fifty-three percent of those polled in a recent survey said Sunday lunch served with Yorkshire pudding remains the favorite family meal in Britain.
The poll, sponsored by Aunt Bessie's, a maker of Yorkshire pudding, said 42 percent of those interviewed indicated they chose to eat their Sunday lunch in a traditional English pub rather than a high profile restaurant with a celebrity chef, said a release from Populus, the firm which conducted the poll.
Twenty percent of people asked said they preferred to eat their Sunday lunch at home rather than in a pub or restaurant, Populus said, noting mothers were overwhelmingly favored as the No. 1 choice to cook Sunday lunch with Yorkshire pudding.
The poll, which did not give a margin of error, interviewed 1,050 adults online across Britain in July.
