Police: Spider-Man impostor slugs man
Thursday, November 12
BODELWYDDAN, Wales, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Police say possible danger to motorists forced them to taser a sheep blocking traffic in North Wales.
Horrified motorists on the A55 road near Bodelwyddan said the police officer went for his Taser without even trying to herd the ram, who was meandering in the roadway, The Daily Mail reported Monday.
"When we left, it was lying by the side of the road, shaking," said Mark Faulkes, 47, of Flint. "I thought it was excessive to use a Taser on a defenseless sheep."
The ram, since named "Sparky" by local residents, was causing "major disruption and possible danger to motorists," said a spokeswoman for the north Wales police, adding the ram was not injured and is back in his owner's pasture.
