PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla., Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Authorities said a Port St. Lucie, Fla., woman was arrested after she allegedly attacked her ex-husband because he forgot to buy kitty litter at the store.
The arrest affidavit for Julie Hart said she admitted to drinking "all day" Monday before she allegedly punched her ex-husband in the face and bit him on the right arm, TCPalm.com reported Wednesday.
Police said Hart had initially claimed her ex-husband had been bitten by someone at the grocery store but later admitted to the act and claimed it was self-defense. However, she had no marks on her and her ex-husband, who police said was also "very intoxicated," had a bite mark on his arm.
Hart was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.
