TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Authorities in Tampa, Fla., say they arrested a 27-year-old woman who allegedly attacked a 17-year-old boy during an argument over the TV remote.

Paula Geneva Echols of Tampa was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse and battery after she allegedly punched the teenager -- who lived with her but is not a relative -- in the face and then threatened him with a baseball bat because he would not hand over the remote control, Tampa Bay Online reported Tuesday.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Carter said Echols was taken to the Orient Road Jail. The teen is now living with his grandmother.
