Band loses gig for playing Cubs song

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- A Chicago musician says he lost a gig at TGI Friday's in Milwaukee's Miller Park for singing a chorus of "Go Cubs Go" after Chicago beat the Brewers.

Ted Wulfers and his band were to perform Sunday but TGI Friday's and Miller Park rescinded the invitation, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

Wulfer says he had no idea Brewers fans would be upset with "just one chorus" from "Go Cubs Go" after last July's contest between the two teams.

"It was not taken kindly by the Brewers fans," said a spokesman for TGI Friday's. "Fridays and the Brewers made the decision not to have this band back this year."
