The Verwood woman received about 25 letters a day, for a total of about 5,000 letters she considered junk mail, The Times of London reported Saturday. Advertisement The newspaper said most of the mail claimed the woman, who is in her 80s, had won foreign lotteries. Other letters sent to her promised a cure for cancer. The letters have been taken by local authorities.
