Palin look-alike finds few votes in NYC

NEW YORK , Sept. 23 (UPI) -- A Sarah Palin look-alike trolled Manhattan for a day to see what kind of reaction the Alaska governor would get in the center of Eastern liberalism.

The New York Daily News trailed the faux Palin on Monday to Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Washington Square. Kristy Webb, 29, was mobbed by people seeking autographs and snapshots -- but not too many who said they were planning to vote for the Republican John McCain-Sarah Palin ticket.

One man had what could be called the typical New York reaction, calling "You're hot, but I hope you lose."

Webb attempted a stop at NBC to visit Tina Fey, the "Saturday Night Live" Palin, but could not get past the front door.

In Washington Square Park, Marty Levinson's granddaughter posed for a snapshot with Webb. But Levinson pinned an Obama button on the girl first.

"If her parents see her with anyone who even looks like Palin, they'll strangle me," he said.
