YORK, England, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- A British man spotted changing into women's clothes at the side of train tracks has been cited by a court for outraging public decency.

Martyn Lamb, 40, a married father-of-three, was being tried on charges of sexual exposure after prosecutors alleged he intentionally exposed his genitals while changing into women's clothes in a spot clearly visible to passing trains, The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

However, York Magistrates Court Judge Helen McBride said there was "not sufficient evidence" that Lamb had intentionally exposed himself and threw out the charges, instead issuing him the citation.

Lamb, a self-employed pest controller, said during a police interview that was read to the court that he "wanted people to see me dressed like that. I think I wanted to be caught. I've done it before, since I was a child -- I cross-dress."

"During my rounds at work I would find a quiet spot to change," he said. "I find it a release from my pressures. I did it just to unwind during the day... it's just a release for me. It's escapism, I've never really thought of it sexually."

"I want to say I'm sorry, it isn't acceptable behavior. Anyone seeing this on a train would probably be horrified and a bit shocked," he said.
