VERO BEACH, Fla., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Police in Vero Beach, Fla., said a man has been arrested after allegedly striking a co-worker with a machete during a disagreement about a coconut break.

The Vero Beach Police Department said Luis Amilcar Ruiz-Tun, 26, was charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly struck a co-worker with a machete during an argument about coconuts, The Vero Beach Press Journal reported Thursday.

The co-worker told police he and Ruiz-Tun were working a landscaping job when Ruiz-Tun began cutting down coconuts from a nearby tree because he wanted something to drink. The co-worker said he told Ruiz-Tun to get back to work, and when Ruiz-Tun refused, the co-worker ran over the coconuts with a lawn mower.

He said as soon as he stepped off the lawnmower, Ruiz-Tun hit him with the machete.

River County Jail records show Ruiz-Tun was also being held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
