"It could have been much worse," Lara Liotta, 29, four-time winner of the Italian women's karate championship, told The Daily Telegraph of London. "What would have happened if this person, instead of attacking me, a karate champion who knows how to defend herself well, had attacked a young girl?" Advertisement Liotta, a prison officer, said the attack occurred in broad daylight Monday shortly after rush hour. She said she ran to a nearby rail terminal to alert police, who arrested a homeless man on charges of assault, The Daily Telegraph reported.
