SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- A San Antonio woman said she was knocked off her toilet when an allegedly drunk driver crashed into her house.
Police said Devin James, 24, was leading officers on an 80 mph chase on the city's Northwest Side in the early hours Saturday when he crashed through a fence and into the home of Blanca Trevino-Koester, WOAI-TV, San Antonio, reported Tuesday.
"I heard this roaring noise," said Trevino-Koester. "It sounded like a tornado to me."
Trevino-Koester said she was in her bathroom at the time of the crash. "The impact knocked me off the commode," she said.
She said an officer entered the house to arrest the driver.
"He had his gun drawn and he was yelling and screaming instructions to the driver, not to move and to let him see his hands," Trevino-Koester said.
James was charged with driving while intoxicated and evading arrest.
