Fiona Roth said her daughter, Corinne, decided to order a drink while on vacation on the Greek island of Crete and immediately had a physical reaction to the alcoholic concoction, The Sun reported Friday.
"She drank about a third of the cocktail, then her friend said, 'Have you seen your head?'" Roth said.
"Corinne said, 'I have brain-freeze.' They went to the loo (bathroom) and Corinne saw her forehead had doubled in size. She couldn't see out of her right eye because of the swelling."
Roth said the apparent allergic reaction a week ago was because of the drink that contained six kinds of alcohol, cider, chili powder and an as-of-yet identified mystery ingredient.
While the girl's condition has improved enough for her to return to Britain, her mother is concerned her face may never be the same.
"I just hope she goes back to normal because she's a pretty girl," she told the Sun. "She says she won't touch alcohol again."
