Thursday, November 12
MIRAMAR, Fla., Sept. 4 (UPI) -- A witness to a fatal Miramar, Fla., duck stabbing told police the alleged perpetrator said his motive was that he hates the entire species of water fowl.
A police report of the incident said Gabriel Scott Diaz, 18, told a Benihana manager -- who allegedly saw Diaz stab the duck with a blade at least 8 inches long in the restaurant's parking lot -- that he despises ducks, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Thursday.
Diaz was arrested at the scene and charged with animal cruelty. He was taken to jail in lieu of $2,500 bond.
