DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A Downers Grove, Ill., couple said their four-eared cat has become an Internet celebrity after his picture appeared in British tabloids.

Ted and Valerie Rock said their cat, Yoda, became an international celebrity after pictures that their son, Glen, posted to his Flickr account were bought by English photo agency Barcroft Media and distributed to British tabloids, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.

The owners said the pictures rapidly spread through popular gossip blogs and they are now receiving calls from "Good Morning America,"

"Fox News" and "The Tyra Banks Show" seeking appearances from their 2-year-old cat.

"It's amazing," Ted Rock said. "For the past few days, our phone has just been ringing off the hook."
