Officers arrested Kadien Jackson, 21, after he told police he made the false robbery report to help him get a refund for an unused box of condoms at the Route 4 gas station, The Bergen-Hackensack (N.J.) Record reported Thursday.

Jackson was charged with making a false report and could face jail time if convicted.

"We take something like that very seriously because of the danger it poses to the officers responding," said Englewood Police Capt. Steven Sabo. "I don't think a lot of people realize the seriousness of the offense that they're doing."
