NEW YORK, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A New York based travel watchdog said a majority of survey respondents favored airplanes adding special sections for parents with disruptive children.
Airfarewatchdog.com said its admittedly "unscientific" online survey of 17,000 respondents found 58 percent of those polled believe airlines should have taken the step of adding special sections for parents with crying babies and disruptive kids "long ago," while an additional 27 percent said they would be in favor of such a measure but "(airlines) never will and it'll never work," the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Thursday.
Only 15 percent of respondents said they would not be in favor of adding the special sections.
The survey also found 82 percent of respondents were in favor of forcing "clinically obese" passengers to buy extra seats while 18 percent expressed opposition.
