Cop impersonator on personal porn probe

LONGMONT, Colo., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Police in Longmont, Colo., say they are looking for a man who allegedly is impersonating a cop and confiscating porn videos.

Officers told The Longmont (Colo.) Times-Call that the suspect tells clerks at adult books stores that he is assigned to the "Age Verification Unit" and needs to check the videos so he can confirm that the actresses aren't underage.

The suspect called on four establishments last month before a suspicious manager contacted police.

In a bit of irony, the stores have provided surveillance video of the suspect.
