STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A Stockholm, Sweden, apartment set for auction comes with an unusual provision for the buyer -- he or she must handle the current occupant's eviction.
The daughter of the apartment's former owner, who died a few years ago, said she is auctioning off the apartment despite her mother's former live-in partner's refusal to vacate the premises, The Local reported Tuesday.
Mats Ljungquist, a lawyer for the woman trying to sell the apartment, said the man has refused to leave despite a court order that commanded him to leave.
"Whoever buys the flat will have to organize the current tenant's eviction, as clearly outlined in the advertisement we ran in the weekend papers," Ljungquist said.
An open auction for the property is scheduled for Aug. 26.
