WASHINGTON, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- A Web site aimed at engaging members of Generation Y is teaming up with a Maryland congressman to hold a presidential speech-writing contest.

MeriTalk.com and Rep. John P. Sarbanes, D-Md., are offering an all-expense paid trip to Washington on Inauguration Day to the person who can draft the most compelling speech for the next U.S. president, MeriTalk and Sarbanes announced Monday.

In addition to the Washington trip, the contest winner will get to meet Sarbanes and watch as his or her speech is entered into the Congressional Record.

Further information about the contest is available on MeriTalk.com.

MeriTalk was developed as a partnership among the Federal Managers Association, the National Treasury Employees Union, United Service Organizations and WTOP/WFED radio, Washington.
