WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Proving that U.S. presidential candidates are under the media microscope, the Huffington Post reports John McCain has been wearing the same shoes all summer.

The Web site said Sunday the presumptive Republican nominee has been wearing a trusty and pricey pair of Ferragamo loafers on the grueling campaign trail.

Huffington Post said the black Italian-made shoes retail for around $520, and have been moving McCain "on every recent campaign stop -- from a news conference with the Dalai Lama to a supermarket visit in Bethlehem, Penn."
