LONDON, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- A British survey revealed 40 percent of women think spending time with their husbands is the most valuable thing in their lives.

A survey conducted by Woman and Home magazine asked 1,000 women about what they value most, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

Women said they liked eating a romantic meal with their husbands best.

Women said they also enjoyed making love, talking while drinking wine, watching television and gardening with their husbands. About 30 percent said spending time with their children was the thing they valued most.

A total of 84 percent said they valued quality time with their families more than material possessions.

"They may be bombarded by consumer choice at every turn, but in their heart -- whatever the financial climate -- they know that the best things in life are free," said Sue James, editorial director of Woman and Home.
