HOLLYWOOD, Fla., July 31 (UPI) -- Swingfest 2008, which organizers describe as the "world's largest swingers party" and adult trade show, kicked off Thursday in Hollywood, Fla.
Convention spokesman Greg Freeman said about 10,000 delegates were expected to participate in the convention alongside several adult film stars, including former California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Thursday.
Freeman said the decision to hold the convention in Hollywood -- which in the past has targeted a downtown swinger's club -- was made because of its convenient location between Miami and Fort Lauderdale and the proximity of nudist Haulover Beach.
"Everyone has been talking about Hollywood and looking to meet there," Freeman said.
