GRASSY NARROWS, Ontario, July 29 (UPI) -- An Ontario woman and her mother claim to have seen a creature resembling the legendary Sasquatch -- Bigfoot -- while picking berries near Grassy Narrows.

Helen Pahpasay and her mother said they were just north of the northwestern Ontario town Tuesday when they saw a giant and mysterious figure, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Tuesday.

"It was black, about 8 feet long and all black, and the way it walked was upright, human-like, but more -- I don't know how to describe it -- more of a husky walk, I guess," Pahpasay said. "It didn't look normal."

Pahpasay said the creature ran into the woods after it noticed the two women in their car. She said they considered chasing the beast but decided instead to go home.

"What do I think it was? Right now I'm not even sure what it was. But it really scared both of us," Pahpasay told the CBC. "There's been talk of Bigfoot, Sasquatch. And I'm still not sure what it was but I've never seen anything like it."
