LEWISTON, Idaho, July 28 (UPI) -- Idaho supporters of likely Democratic Party U.S. presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama say their man has been stuck with the wrong Larry.
The campaign of Idaho Democratic U.S. Senate hopeful Larry LaRocco had ordered campaign buttons that were supposed to depict him standing next to Obama, D-Ill. Instead, they got a different Larry on the buttons, the Lewiston (Idaho) Tribune reported Monday.
Instead of LaRocco, the buttons came back from the Ohio manufacturer with Obama standing next to scandal-plagued incumbent Republican Sen. Larry Craig, whose retirement is opening the seat LaRocco is running for.
"That sounds like it's going to be a collector's item," Dean Ferguson, LaRocco's communications director, told the Tribune. "I'm sure Senator Obama appreciates Senator Craig's support."
