VANCOUVER, Wash., July 21 (UPI) -- Firefighters in Vancouver, Wash., said they got an unusual request for help when two men brought in a cat that had lodged its head inside a mason jar.

Vancouver Fire Station 85 firefighters said the two men came in Sunday and said they had returned from a weekend camping trip to find their cat, Ralf, had managed to wedge his head inside the jar, KPTV, Portland, Ore., reported Monday.

The firefighters said they were able to guide Ralf's head out of the jar after lubricating the opening.

The owners of the cat said they were unsure how long Ralf had been stuck in the jar or how the cat managed to get its head in there.
