NASHVILLE, July 20 (UPI) -- Faye Smith says despite being a grandmother, she was thoroughly excited to take part when Nickelodeon's Slime Across America Tour arrived in Nashville.

Smith said while her 8-year-old grandson Adam was less than thrilled with the event's slimy fare, she had no problem joining younger revelers at the cable TV network's unusual event Saturday, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Sunday.

"Everything I love is here," Smith said.

"I wish they had something for adults so the old kids like me could do something. We came because it's something we can do together. We've been hyped up for two days."

The Tennessean said the event, which is based on the slime used on Nickelodeon series such as "You Can't Do That on Television," offered live entertainment in addition to the gooey star of the show.
