MANCHESTER, England, July 19 (UPI) -- Police released videotape of a naked English businessman fighting off four armed robbers who broke into his home demanding money.
Closed circuit videotape shows Eddie Nevins fought back when his Prestwich home in Greater Manchester was invaded, The Times of London reported Saturday.
Nevins, 54, had been lying in bed naked at the time of the May 23 attack.
"My wife had gone to our business in Cyprus and I'd just settled down for the night. Next thing I knew my door was kicked in," Nevins said this week "I had two muscle men at the door, one with a 2-by-2 and one with a knife, big lads with hoods."
The videotape shows the robbers beating, punching and kicking Nevins before he escaped to a neighbor's house and called police.
Nevins was taken to a hospital where he was treated for injuries.
"Every part of my body was black and blue. It was a wonder they didn't kill me. I could have had a heart attack. It was attempted murder to me, they could have killed me," Nevins said.
The wealthy businessman is offering a $40,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the culprits.
