Palin spares 1 turkey, others not so lucky
Christine Koch said she found the ring, an 18 karat gold man's wedding band, in the sand while crabbing Monday under the Route 72 causeway, the Press of Atlantic City (N.J.) reported Friday.
"It's kind of where everyone crabs down here," Koch said. "And there it was, just sitting on top of the mud."
Koch said she is determined to find the ring's owner.
"It doesn't look like it's been there for a while. It wasn't buried. It looks like someone may have just lost it," Koch said. "The ring looks like it wouldn't be worth anything to anybody but maybe it has sentimental value."
The crabber has one clue to go on : "Inside it is inscribed with 'EPH to MH' with, I guess, their wedding
date, June 7, 1958," she said.
