WAUKESHA, Wis., July 5 (UPI) -- A Wisconsin man has been charged with faking a heart attack to avoid paying a restaurant tab.

Robert Farnam of Waukesha was arrested this week after the Wauwatosa Fire Department rushed him to the Wisconsin Heart Hospital, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Dr. William Kumprey, who had seen Farnam several times recently, turned him over to police.

Police said Farnam traveled to the Mayfair Mall by cab and pulled his heart attack scam to avoid paying. He then went to an Applebee's and racked up a $22.66 bill for a sirloin steak and trimmings, topped off by a strawberry smoothie and a brownie.

Farnam was on probation for similar offenses. One condition of his probation was a list of restaurants he was to stay away from. Applebee's was not on the list.
